About the Clinic Journey

Susan has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since she Graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2012.  She began at Terry Reilly Health Services, a Community Health Center in Nampa, Idaho, where there was great opportunity for intense learning experiences and wonderful support from Physicians and other Clinicians to support her learning process.  She then returned to Utah to be near her four grown children and almost 7 grandchildren and continued practicing in the traditional world while studying everything she could get her hands on about Functional Medicine until 2017 when she joined a Functional Medicine Clinic and has been practicing in this area for two and a half years.  She started studying with the Institute of Functional Medicine in March of 2018 and has already completed all the required modules and now is studying for the examination to become certified.  

Roots and Raices was formed in April 2019 and now we have opened our clinic in South Ogden where we are prepared to attend to all of your traditional as well as integrative needs.
